I had the greatest pleasure of working with Heather for her pregnancy photography session recently. Boy they’re not wrong when they say that pregnant women have a glow. When she opened the door it was like a beam of light shining into the studio.
Heather was expecting her first baby in July and decided she wanted to document this time with a pregnancy photography session. It was a little earlier than usual for pregnancy pictures but the doctor thought baby was going to come any day so we had her in right away. Funny enough, baby ended up holding on until the very last moment before arriving !
As it turned out is was the perfect time to photograph Heather. She was showing quite nicely and thanks to the help of her pre-baby fitness regimen she didn’t gain an ounce other than baby belly. With those beautiful lines and curves she had the perfect figure and cutest little baby bump for pregnancy photography.
I love the simplicity of the wardrobe we planned for her professional pregnancy photography session. She brought along her husband’s white dress shirt (what to wear for maternity photography hint – bring your husband’s favorite shirt or you can use one of the white dress shirts we have here at the studio) and a cute pair of undies for a fresh clean look with a feeling of a bright Sunday morning releaxing and enjoying her baby belly and thinking of the little one that’s on the way. When she pulled out the cutest pair of yellow baby shoes, I guessed right away she was having a girl. We were trying a few concepts of how to incorporate the little shoes in her pregnancy portraits. They ended up looking so cute atop her baby belly ! What a great shot this was to add to her album of pregnancy photography portraits. Capturing the details always adds such a nice variety to a pregnancy photo shoot.
We mixed up her wardrobe with some wraps and scarves that we have here at the studio especially for our pregnancy photography. No matter what the wardrobe, she was glowing throughout the whole sesson ! I also created some black and white pregnancy photography portraits that I thought illustrated her glow beautifully and also added a nice variety to her final album.
I showed a sneak peak pregnancy portrait of Heather and now have the pleasure of showcasing the rest of her stunning images. Thank you Heather for letting us share. Don’t forget to subscribe to our blog or newsletter to see the newborn portraits coming soon !
